It’s the first advent and that means Christmas is coming soon. Since Christmas is our favourite time of the year, we wanted to make a Christmas special on each advent and today we are going to start with a DIY Christmas decoration.

DIY Wood burned Christmas ornaments

All you need:

  • wood slices
  • burning tool
  • pencil

This DIY is the most difficult one of our DIY series, because not everyone of us has a burning tool at home. Paint the pattern on the wood slice and use the burning tool carefully. If it’s your first time, don’t be surprised it’s not so easy how it looks like. You just need some practice, but therefore you create your own special christmas decoration!

DIY snowflake window clings

All you need:

  • window colours
  • cling film
  • pencil

Snow rarely falls in Vienna, so we are going to create some snowflakes on our own. All you need is a snowflake template (here), that you have to put into a cling film. Then you can start with filling in the lines of the snowflake with the window colour. Let it dry and put it on your window. Set your creativity free and use all the colours you want. A little tip: If you can remove the snowflakes without breaking them, you can use them for next christmas too. You just have to put them back into the cling film.

DIY paper snowflakes

All you need:

  • paper
  • scissor
  • pencil

This DIY is so easy, but a real eye catcher! Cut out a circle of a piece of paper and paint a pattern with the pencil. If you don’t want to create a pattern on your own, you can find here some templates. Cut it out and open it carefully!
