Dolce & Gabbana have always been two designers that inspired me from my early fashion days on. Maybe it’s because of my love for Italy, the country that I spent most summers at, or maybe it’s because of their love for Italy and the beauty in life that you can see in all their clothes, that I love so much. I mean just look at pictures or videos from der ads and you see so much joy for life and one of the most famous mottos in Italy “Dolce fa niente”.

Since I am a poor student, or maybe former student now in graduate figuring out what to do next, it’s not so easy for me to just go to their store and buy clothes from Dolce & Gabbana. Especially since they, like most high end designers, don’t have a plus size range. So I had to creative and look at my usual stores to help me create the same vibe. But that’s the great thing about fashion. You can get inspiration from 5.000€ outfits, and with a bit of creativity and patience you can easily restyle a similar one for less than 150€. Like I did with this outfit today. I think I saw the blouse dress combi in their store last autumn, but back then they only had the dress in smaller sizes. I still got the blouse (which is a normal size but it still fits) and half a year later they had the dress in plus size as well, so I could finally try my visualised outfit for real.

The combination may be a bit too hot for the upcoming days, but now I’m prepared to bring a bit of Italy to Vienna on those cloudy days, or colder times next autumn.
