nbelievable how fast time passes. It feels like we just celebrated the beginning of the year few months ago suddenly you get up in the morning and we say welcome to December and the first Advent. On the occasion of the (more or less) official start of the Christmas season, I thought that I would finally like to put something for Christmas on the blog again. Since there was no recipe on Matrize for a along time, I’m going to show you a fast, but super decorative and especially delicious recipe.

INGREDIENTS (for a medium-sized plate:)
x 6 eggs
x 250 g chocolate
x 250 g butter
x 350 g icing sugar
x 1 g vanilla sugar
x 210 g flour
x pinch of salt

X icing sugar
X M&Ms
X lemon
X green food colour


The preparation is simple and does not take longer than 15 minutes. First you have to melt the butter with the chopped chocolate, stir and then remove from the heat. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with icing sugar and vanilla sugar with a blender and then add the chocolate. Finally, add the flour with a pinch of salt and mix. Grease the baking sheet with butter and flour. Empty the finished mass into the sheet and bake it in the oven preheated to 170 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Allow the brownie to cool well, then topple the plate (carefully). Cut small triangles from the dough. (Of course, you can also take a cookie cutter in a pine tree form, but I think you loose too much of the delicious dough.) For the glaze, mix icing sugar with lemon and a little bit of food color until it you get a thick mass that fits well through a piping bag. If you do not have a piping bag, you can apply the glaze well with a spoon. Finally, you have to decorate the brownies only with M&ms to create small Christmas tree ball.

As you can see, this is a very simple recipe where you really can’t do anything wrong. Nevertheless, the small brownie Christmas trees are also an eye-catcher. Perfect if you need something last minute for the family celebration or you just feel like having brownies in a different way.
